Privacy Policy

Last updated 15 October 2026

Sensei is built around privacy, and this website follows the same idea: we collect as little as we can, use it only for what we say, and never sell it.

01

Who we are

This website, sensei.dev, is run by Sensei (“Sensei”, “we”, “us”). We are in the process of incorporating a company, which we expect to register in Singapore. When that happens, we will update this policy to name the company, and it will take over responsibility for the personal data described here.

This policy covers the sensei.dev website and waitlist only. Our products are not yet available. When they launch, they will have their own privacy terms.

02

What we collect

When you join the waitlist, we collect the details you enter: your name, email address, company (optional), the plan you are interested in and any message you write.

When you browse the site, we record basic visit statistics: the page you viewed, the website that referred you, your approximate country and city (worked out from your IP address by our hosting provider), and your device type and browser. To count unique visitors, we create a one-way scrambled code from your IP address and browser that changes every day. We do not store your IP address, and we cannot use the code to identify you.

When you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message.

03

Cookies

We do not use cookies or similar technologies to track visitors, and we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking. The only cookie on sensei.dev is a sign-in cookie used by our own team to access a private admin area. It is never set for visitors.

04

How we use it

We use personal data only to:

  • tell you when Sensei launches and about the plan you chose;
  • reply to your questions and arrange demos you ask for;
  • understand how many people visit the site and which pages are useful;
  • keep the site secure and prevent misuse; and
  • meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not use it for advertising. By joining the waitlist, you agree to us using your details for these purposes.

05

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers who help us run the site, and only as much as they need to do so:

  • Vercel, which hosts the website and provides basic, cookie-free analytics; and
  • Neon, which hosts the database that stores waitlist details and visit statistics.

We may also disclose personal data if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

06

Where your data is stored

Our service providers may store and process data on servers outside Singapore and outside the country you live in, including in the United States. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure the data is protected to a standard comparable to Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012.

07

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist details until our products launch and we have contacted you, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. If you become a customer, your account will be covered by our product privacy terms. Visit statistics do not identify you and are kept for as long as they are useful for understanding traffic to the site.

08

How we protect it

Data is encrypted when it travels to and from the site. Access to waitlist details is restricted to our team through a password-protected admin area. No system is completely secure, but if we become aware of a data breach that affects you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

09

Your choices and rights

You can ask us at any time to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we have used it;
  • correct anything that is wrong;
  • remove you from the waitlist and delete your details; or
  • stop using your data for a purpose you previously agreed to.

Email contact@sensei.dev and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

10

Children

The site is intended for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their details, please contact us and we will delete them.

11

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when our company is registered, when our products launch and whenever our practices change. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last updated. If a change significantly affects how we use your details, we will tell you by email.
